DiSC
Some people move quickly and challenge ideas. Others prioritize connection and enthusiasm. Some value consistency and cooperation, while others naturally focus on accuracy, quality, and careful analysis.
DiSC gives teams a practical framework for recognizing these behavioral differences and adapting to them more effectively.
Make Workplace Differences Easier to Understand and Navigate
Some people move quickly and challenge ideas. Others prioritize connection and enthusiasm. Some value consistency and cooperation, while others naturally focus on accuracy, quality, and careful analysis.
DiSC® gives teams a practical framework for recognizing these behavioral differences and adapting to them more effectively.
Rather than expecting everyone to communicate, collaborate, or lead in the same way, DiSC helps participants understand their own behavioral tendencies, recognize what others may need, and intentionally flex their approach when the situation calls for it.
At Horizon Team Design, we use DiSC insights as a catalyst for conversation, not as labels. The goal is to help people move from “Why do they do that?” to “How can we work together more effectively?”

What Does DiSC Explore?
The DiSC model describes four primary behavioral styles:
D — Dominance: direct, results-oriented, questioning, and action-focused
i — Influence: outgoing, enthusiastic, persuasive, and relationship-focused
S — Steadiness: supportive, patient, dependable, and collaborative
C — Conscientiousness: analytical, precise, quality-focused, and systematic
DiSC recognizes considerable variation within and between these styles. Participants receive personalized insights rather than being reduced to one of four simple categories.
Depending on the objectives of the engagement, HTD may incorporate applications focused on workplace relationships, management, leadership, productive conflict, or behavioral agility.
Why Use DiSC for Team Development?
DiSC is particularly useful when a team wants a framework that is easy to understand and immediately applicable to workplace behavior.
Teams can use DiSC insights to explore questions such as:
How do we prefer to communicate?
What creates trust for different members of this team?
What happens when we are under pressure?
How directly do we address disagreement?
What motivates different people?
How much detail, discussion, or autonomy do people need?
How can we adapt without becoming inauthentic?
These conversations can improve:
Workplace communication
Collaboration
Trust and working relationships
Feedback
Conflict navigation
Management effectiveness
Leadership flexibility
Cross-functional teamwork
For leaders, DiSC offers an especially practical lens for considering not only how they naturally lead, but whether that approach is what a particular employee, colleague, stakeholder, or situation requires.
